Trailhead Community Farm School is excited to be selected as an eligible school for Exceptional SC!

Parents/Guardians can apply for these funds for a student who attends an eligible school. Applications open June 2024 for the upcoming school year. Please see additional information at Scholarships - Exceptional SC - Exceptional SC.

As a nonprofit organization, TCFS relies on community support and fundraising to provide financial assistance for families in need. Therefore, assistance may or may not be available from year-to-year. Families will be required to apply for Financial Assistance for each academic year separately.

Admissions Process

Financial Assistance Process

Financial Assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors.
Follow these instructions to submit your request:

Please fill out the application form COMPLETELY if you are interested in receiving financial assistance. Assistance is based on several factors, and completing this form is not a guarantee of financial assistance.
The full cost of tuition is $19,850 annually (divided into a payment plan of $1,654.16 per month). Please calculate how much you are able to pay for your student to attend and only request the remaining needed amount. This is very important, as we want to help as many families as possible based on their unique needs.
The "Tell us about your need” section of the application is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. It will help the Financial Assistance Review Team have a brief understanding of your needs. If we have questions, we will contact you for clarification.
You will be required to submit a copy of Page 1 of your Federal 1040 form tax document either by email attachment or hard copy (in-person or by mail) for your application to be fully submitted.
Your financial assistance application along with your enrollment application and staff recommendation for enrollment will be shared with the Financial Assistance Review Team, which includes members of TCFS’s Board of Directors, who will determine your approved assistance amount.
The Executive Director will confirm the results with you as soon as a decision is made, usually within one week. You will be asked to sign a financial assistance agreement.
